Venezuelan-Cuban singer, songwriter and actress; winner of the first Latin American Idol. Representing Mattel, she was Barbie's voice for more than 3 years for Latin America. She was given the first and only Orquídea al Mérito prize by one of the most important musical shows in Latin America, Sábado Sensacional. Mayré has also been awarded as a songwriter by one of the largest and most important composer associations that exist, ASCAP. Her song "Vivir Sin Ti" was the first spanish song to win an ASCAP International Film and TV award. Mayré has 2 albums released, the first one by Sony-BMG Mexico; the second one by her own production company. She has been in the cover of over 20 magazines in Venezuela and Latin America. Mayré Martínez Singing Method is being taught in Miami, Washington, Caracas, Maracaibo, Mexico City and Online. She is also the writer of "The Secrets of Singing" for the international magazine Conexiones Internacional. Mayré has been an artist sponsored by MAC cosmetics and Swarosky among others.
Mayré began studying music formally when she was 4 years old when she learned to play piano, flute, harmonica and sax. Later, she studied composition and music production at Berklee School of Music.
She began her professional singing career when she was 15 years old when she started recording voice overs for many well known brands.
Now she is a singer, songwriter and producer. Her voice and her songs have been chosen to be part of the soundtracks of Telemundo soup operas, which have been seen all over the world.
This hot latin singer, who has more press releases than any other singer in the history of her country, is not only making her own dreams come true; she has also designed a unique method to teach others how to sing. When she was very young, she noticed that unless someone possessed natural singing talent, they were being consistently rejected by teachers. She decided then and there to develop a teaching method for everyone with the only requirement being a passion for singing. She took a hard look at her own progression as a singer and she realized she could successfully apply the same techniques to help anyone become a better singer. Her method has no restrictions regarding age, experience or natural talent levels. For thirteen years Mayré and her licensed teaching staff have successfully applied her method to thousands of people. In 2012, Mayré Martínez moved to Los Angeles, California. She has been working on the goal of reaching larger amounts of people with her music and her singing method.
She is preparing her next album, composing for a new musical, working on her singing method products and directing her singing academies.
